Newport Road Trip

After TPI we drove down to Newport, a must stop for any sailor. Ahhh... down by the water again, dinghies racing right up to the dock. Wandering around the wharf with boatmen preparing the lobster boats, rows of shops to browse, what a lovely Sunday morning. The atmosphere here is very... well, Newport. Seriously, it's a working port and a tourist attraction with that New England look. And food, did I mention the food? We had dinner in the Black Pearl, an excellent restaurant although non-smoking, the whole restaurant is non-smoking. We spent the day in a three block area and didn't see everything we wanted.
It's not any one thing, but the whole experience. So I'll just let the photos do the talking. Go there, you'll be very glad you did.
